We are an independent Food Bank, run entirely by volunteers who passionately believe that no one should go hungry. Pop in to see us; you can be sure of a friendly face and a sympathetic ear. Your conversations at the Foodbank are completely confidential.
On your visit to either of our branches, please be prepared to practise social-distancing and follow the instructions given. To find out more about this, please read our COVID-19 Arrangements notice.
Listed below are the agencies who can issue vouchers. We urge you to use the agency most relevant to your situation, since as well as authorising the voucher they may be able to help you with the underlying issues which have caused you to seek help from us.
If you are unable to visit one of these agencies, you can come to the food bank without a voucher. Our volunteers will discuss your situation with you, and if we feel we can help you, we will authorise a voucher for you. If for any reason we are not able to authorise a voucher for you, an emergency supply of food will always be given to you.
On each visit you can have enough food for you and your family for 3 days.
At Ledbury Food Bank we pride ourselves on providing our clients with fresh fruit and vegetables; we give you the opportunity to choose the food that you need, and we also stock toiletries and household items.
Please note that our volunteers are strictly forbidden from giving money to our clients.
We are set up with the sole purpose of providing food to those in need, however, we understand that our clients often have a range of underlying issues.
We are very lucky to have two retired social workers, with considerable experience, who volunteer with us. They understand the problems that cause people to need help from us and can lend a sympathetic ear and also point you towards the agencies that can help you further.
There are donation trolleys in Tesco and the Co-Op and there is a sign in those locations which tells you which items we are currently short of or would be particularly welcome. There are also a number of collection points in the area where you can leave food, namely:
Please ensure that all items have a reasonably long use by/best before date and are otherwise in a saleable condition. We prefer standard rather than large/family size packs if possible. If donating fresh items, please remember that we are only open on Wednesday and Friday mornings.

We do accept cash and cheque donations at the foodbank during opening hours. Please make cheques payable to "Ledbury Food Bank". If you would like to make a regular payment by standing order please email or call us stating your name and postal address and we will send you a form.

: We are open between 10am and 12 noon every Wednesday and Friday (special arrangements may apply at Easter and Christmas).

: Our main food bank is in the centre of Ledbury on the first floor of St Katherine's Hall, Ledbury, HR8 1DZ. The building is just off the main shopping road in Ledbury. If coming on foot you need to take the alleyway opposite Boots, there will be a sign outside so you can be sure you are going to the right place, just come up the stairs and someone will be there to welcome you.
Sadly there is no lift to our premises, but if you have mobility problems there is a bell at the foot of the stairs that you can ring for assistance.
